Sounds like you are doing great; from knowing you my entire life, I can say without a doubt how gifted you are; I know not only have your genes influenced you, but you have worked very hard and gone through alot. Although I am your older cousin, want you to know how much I enjoy the Lonely Ones CD, especially the two songs, Mexican Ghost (my fav) & Dark Days. I was actually transfixed by the chord sounds and the vocals the first time I heard Mexican Ghost. And I know about Dark Days since we lived there & not all of our times were happy ones. I actually cannot listen to Mexican Ghost in my car because I go into another dimension! Last time I saw you & Jocelyn was in Marina Del Rey at our family's Italian Reunion (2006) that Liz so beautifully arranged. Bruce & I have a daughter Melanie that we adopted from China and you met her then. She will be age 5 this August 2009. My Mom, Aunt Theresa (your Mom), & Aunt Joanne, & Maria, all got together recently at Knotts Berry Farm and we had a good time visiting & laughing. Wishing you many more years of success & happiness. Joe Wood: It's great to see that you seem to be flourishing creatively and commercially -- I am a big fan of your music from CHANGE TODAY on, and can't wait to check out JOE WOOD AND THE LONELY ONES. I think you are one of the great rock singers of your generation and it's difficult to express what your music meant to me and my rag tag group of teenage delinquent crime partners. Kobain, Cornell, Stayley, Lanegan -- your name belongs in the company of the great 90s rock singers. You deserve far more recognition than you have ever gotten. I spotted you outside the opium den in the late 90s, gearing up for a Brazilian tour, and my deep admiration and awe of your music prevented me from even allowing myself to say hello. Then you rocked the house... cheers to one of the most underappreciated artists in the past 25 years, and best wishes for continued success.

Hello Joe, One of my favorite bands from the 80's is T.S.O.L. I'm not going to lie and say the other line up wasn't cool because they were too. I will say that I have every release on Enigma records and it was from "Change today" to "Stangelove" it is great rock n' roll!! It was an inspiration that has me still playing bass myself these days. I remember going to a gig arund 1990 in OC somewhere. It was 21 and over and I guess the door guy was just cool because I didn't look anywhere near 21. I had a great time and my friends waited outside until after your gig. They werent so lucky with the door guy. I also remember vaguely going to a gig at a place called "the green door"(I think there was booze). I think the club was reay to close down at the time. This was after Strangelove came out. Anyway, keep on rockin'!!!! Do you ever see and/or jam with Mitch Dean?

I was traveling out of town, ended up having dinner on a Thursday evening in Escondido, tired as could be, I wanted to eat & go! Then you started playing... drew me in, I was captivated, I HAD to go back to my room grab my camera. Ended up being there two nights! AWESOME music!! Must see!! Joe... your voice is... KILLER!! Then the loss of Jeff Cranford, reflecting back on the weekend, the little time I was able to spend with you Joe, Jeff & Dave... going through the pics to get them to Joslyn, what an emotional experience. What a sweetheart Jeff was... What started out as me just wanting to take some pictures, left me leaving a piece of my heart in R.O' Sullivan's... Rest in Peace Jeff... God Bless!

I was traveling out of town, ended up having dinner on a Thursday evening in Escondido, tired as could be, I wanted to eat & go! Then you started playing... drew me in, I was captivated, I HAD to go back to my room grab my camera. Ended up being there two nights! AWESOME music!! Must see!! Joe... your voice is... KILLER!! Then the loss of Jeff Cranford, reflecting back on the weekend, the little time I was able to spend with you Joe, Jeff & Dave... going through the pics to get them to Joslyn, what an emotional experience. What a sweetheart Jeff was... What started out as me just wanting to take some pictures, left me leaving a piece of my heart in R.O' Sullivan's... Rest in Peace Jeff... God Bless!

I'm SOOOOO glad that I walked into R.O'Sullivans one Friday night back in April, leaving there musically satisfied with both of your current CD's in hand. Your music is awesome, your voice is even better, and you haven't disappointed me once since that first encounter! AWSOME lyrics! They speak to me the way I love music to do, and that's what makes music for me. I'm addicted and want more! I can't wait till there's a new CD cuz I've almost worn out both my Lonely Ones CD's.
