Succeeding with an alternative sound ahead of it's time front man, songwriter and lead singer Joe Wood led the seminal Orange County rock band TSOL, touring worldwide 1983 until 1996.  

With Mike Roche, Ron Emory and Mitch Dean the band opened for the likes of Guns ‘n’ Roses, X & Soundgarden, recorded SEVERAL top selling albums and marked a spot on the Top 100 Billboard chart. With successful features on MTV, a variety of surf, skate and horror films and countless soundtracks, Joe Wood & Mitch Dean dis-band to pursue other opportunities and projects. 

Upon their departure in 1996, Joe Wood & Mitch Dean opt to purchase the trademark of TSOL & True Sounds of Liberty.

Joe Wood tours South America regularly to sing the familiar songs of TSOL (Flowers by the Door, In the Wind, Colors, Revenge, Change Today, Madhouse, No Time, Nothing For You & More).  

Whether in Rio de Janerio or Sao Paulo, at a stadium or small venue in downtown Huntington Beach...the fans never disappoint and sing every word to every song...In The Wind.

Well into 2008, the love affair is alive between the nostalgic sound of TSOL with Joe Wood and legions of devoted fans and continues to thrive.

Despite ongoing media manipulations, delusions & fabrications, there is no tempering the flame. 

Fans stay True to the Sound Of Liberated generations ... showing up in droves in the US & by the thousands when abroad.
